Malawi Gesha

We have been proud to partner with Guayo since 2013 for his classic Antigua Bourbon coffee and this special lot of Malawi Gesha give us all the feels. Matching the legendary floral and delicacy of the Gesha variety to the excellent volcanic terroir of Guayo’s “Rosario” plot has produced a total stunner in the hands of this outstanding farmer and the processing team at Bella Vista. Floral jasmine and orange blossom lead mandarin and tangerine citrus flavors with spicy ginger notes.

Don Guayo is a perennial favorite at Saint Frank and for good reason. He is one of the most dedicated, skilled and driven small scale producers on the Agua Volcano. Just as Guayo was the first Hunapu volcano producer for our Bella Vista partners to separate and showcase with Saint Frank, Guayo was the first of these to receive the coveted Gesha seeds from Malawi piloted on the larger estate farms. His excitement for this new globally celebrated variety is both heartwarming and inspiring. The fact that it is grown just for us (this means you!!) just takes it to another level. If you’ve loved Guayo’s coffees, this is for you. If you love exotic coffees, this is for you. If you love coffee at all, this is for you.
