Vibrant and Juicy with Flavors of Purple Grape, Red Plum, and Bergamot
Coffee from Karuthi always delivers the dynamic and classic flavors we come to look for in Kenyan Coffees from the Nyeri region, but also its own distinctive terroir and character drawn from its leadership and management. Expressive citrus and cola like flavors steal the show but its the more gentle and approachable texture that yields surprising roundness from a wonderfully uniform and ripe cherry selection.
The Karuthi Factory is one of the 19 Factories belonging to the Othaya Farmers Cooperative Society. Othaya has stood the test of time moreso than any other cooperative society through the integrity and generous strength of its leadership. A creative infrastructure allows them to manage their own milling and marketing with remarkable quality, consistency, and value driven sustainability. What this means for Saint Frank is that we are able to effectively develop relationships with farmers and leadership like Karuthi manager James Megugosho in meaningful ways. Our growing and inclusive commitment to Karuthi has increased their demand and connection to the market achieving the highest prices in the Othaya Cooperative.
