Bolivia Lidia Machicado 50% |
“Pauchinta,” named after a waterfall on the Machicado family farm, is Lidia Machicado’s first Icatu coffee plot, producing a dense sweetness with blackberry, plum, and chocolate notes that showcase Bolivian terroir. Lidia and her husband Juan José, whom we first met in 2015, are deeply dedicated farmers who built their farm and home in the remote village of Kantutani. Despite challenges, including Lidia’s near-fatal snake bite, their passion and care have made Pauchinta a remarkable and memorable coffee. |
Honduras David Lopez 50% |
Grown by our longtime friend David Lopez in the village of El Socorro de la Penita in Comayagua. The Icatu variety is one of many developments David has planted through our relationship. Icatu brings a caramel and milk chocolate quality over baked green apple. |
